About Star Sapphire

Star Sapphire is a type of sapphire displaying an optical star-like effect. This effect is caused by Asterism. Star Sapphire is a precious gemstone as other sapphires. Star Sapphire also a member of the mineral corundum family and consist Aluminum Oxide with trance amounts of elements, such as Iron, Titanium, Chromium, Vanadium or Magnesium of hexagonal. Due to this hexagonal crystal arrangement, Star Sapphire always shades six lines.

Star Sapphires are gorgeous and are always cut into a cabochon shape with a high quality. This is the only way that the shine star will be seen from the stone.
